On May 12th ,2011   Dr. Janet Moore Lindman – Professor of History, Rowan University, was the featured in the 5th of the Raymond N. Beebe Law Firm Historical Lectures. 

 

Her presentation educated our chapter and guests as to the role the Baptist Church played during the revolution. 

 
Dr. Lindman is the author of Bodies of Belief:  Baptist Community in Early America (University of  Pennsylvania Press, 2008) and co-editor of “Centre of Wonders”:  The Body in Early America (Cornell University Press, 2001).  She has been awarded research fellowships from The Maryland Historical Society,  The Virginia Historical Society, The John Nicholas Brown Center at Brown University, and The McNeil  Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
