May 7, 2011 ROTC
Cadet Captain William Orellana was selected by his instructors to receive the SAR Bronze Junior ROTC medal for 2011 from the JROTC Detachment at the Pleasantville High SChool.  HIs selection was based on the established criteria of  military and academic scholarship, as well as the qualities of discipline, coutesy, character and ond other consistent demonstrations of potential qualities as an officer. 

Above Cadet Captain Orellana receives his award from Major William F. Schmitz, USAF (ret) Vice President of the Col. Richard Somers Chapter of the SAR.  The presentation was made at the Detachment's Annual Military Ball held at Pleasantville High School, May 7, 2011.  Captain Orellana's Senior Instruxtor, First Sergeant Larry White, USA (ret) looks on proudly.
