W3R-US and the William Trent House are collaborating on a Rochambeau Weekend August 28-29 in Trenton on the 245th anniversary of the march to Yorktown through Trenton, featuring:
1. A Victory Town Dinner on August 28 at 6pm at Coopers Riverview with keynote speaker Kevin Chapman, who appears in the new Netflix documentary “The American Experiment.” Read more in the Trenton Journal and buy tickets online from W3R-US. Hosted by the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route Association and the Trenton Housing Authority. Generals Washington and Rochambeau will be in attendance.
2. From noon to 3 pm on Saturday, August 29, The William Trent House is offering a small encampment with muskets and fife and drum music, plus a conversation between Generals Washington and Rochambeau, who both stayed overnight on the exact same day 245 years ago. Details here.
3. At 3 pm on August 29, also at the William Trent House, there will be a 30-minute preview concert of The Crossing: A Revolutionary New Musical, performed by professional actors who are preparing for a world premiere in Trenton in December. Learn about the musical here.
