The Wreath Team

On December 17, 2023 members of the Col. Richard Somers Chapter, NJSSAR and the General Lafayette Chapter, NSDAR joined together at Old Zion Methodist  Graveyard to place wreaths on graves of 11 patriots in observance of Wreaths Across America.

We also participated in Wreaths Across America at Miller Cemetery in New Gretna. Chapter President, Mike Mangum’s, son and daughter placed the wreath on Rev War Patriot Aaron Howell’s grave.

On Saturday, December 17, 2022, the Col. Richard Somers Chapter followed the lead of our Sisters of the General Lafayette Chapter, NSDAR in honoring fallen heroes in Wreaths Across America, 2022.  Wreaths were laid at Absecon Methodist, Absecon Presbyterian and Old Zion Methodist Graveyards.  Many thanks to the Absecon VFW and Galloway Township Elks for making this very special event possible.

On Sunday December 10th, 2017, the Gen. Lafayette Chapter, DAR, participated in Wreaths Across America. Patriots interred in Asbury (English’s), Old Zion, Blackman’s, and Clark’s meeting were honored.
